Mr. Petroff earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University in 2008, and his comprehensive legal experience is displayed everyday through his passionate work at Petroff Amshen LLP, and his multiple endeavors supporting and uplifting homeowners in New York. He has been an instrumental figure as an active speaker and participant in the Foreclosure Program Roundtable, Foreclosure Updates for Volunteer Attorneys, Foreclosure Basics and Advanced Topics in Foreclosure Defense. His tireless dedication has resulted in the Director’s Circle of VLP Foreclosure Pane award, New York State Supreme Court Pro Bono Award and the Brooklyn Bar Association Gold Certificate For Exceptional Commitment to Pro Bono Service.
He is the member and Executive Vice President of the New York State Foreclosure Defense Bar, a non-for-profit bar association of foreclosure defense attorneys who represent homeowners in saving their homes; he is active in foreclosure prevention through the Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) of the Brooklyn Bar Association, helping those who as a result of poverty or special needs may not otherwise have access to the quality legal services that every family deserves; and is a current member of the Director's Circle of the VLP Foreclosure Panel.
